I hope he is a gentleman-
Why are all the good words wasted on people that we hate?
I'd be a hypocrit if I still didn't love you.
With 55% of my heart belonging in your arms
I learned what should make me hate you again.
I've got the long legs, but don't know how to use em
I've got the hair of a star, don't care to tease it
I'm not the girl you want
and I told you this from the start
Smooth words convinced me to give you a try
It might sound weird, but I haven't cryed
Nevertheless I hope that she was worth my broken heart
I can't tell a lie
The truth can't be denyed
I thought that you could be the one, to change everything
The first time we talked, you kissed me with your eyes
Don't stick around, please run away
You can dwell on your desition,
just don't expect me to stay
I told you everything from the start
I hope that she, was worth my broken heart.

It's who we are
So there is this girl who is older than me, and always dishes out good advice. At one point in my life, I wanted to be her so badly, even though I hated her. I wanted to be with her boyfriend, because I was in love with him.
Looking back, why in the world would I want to be this girl? She even admits that she puts on a show for people, and that no one knows who she really is. When I walk into class everyday with a smile on my face, it's because I'm happy that I have something to look forward to. I realized that I couldn't let the world transform me, I had to transform the world. So I stopped talking to people who held be back and depressed me. I started listening to music that made me happy.
I've hit rockbottom in most stages of my life thus far. I've been turned down by love, life, and happiness. So I changed what made me happy by following the muscle that I had neglected. I think that sometimes we rely on our heart to take care of us so much, that we forget that we have to take care of it so that it can help us out more.
What an amazing life i have in store for myself.
annnd I got a meet and greet with All Time Low!!!! I can't wait! Who knows, maybe I'll fall in love that night!
also, i might be going to see my other boys! I might fall hardcore that night, if I haven't already. Stay tuned..

dates dates dates...
A few dates that I am looking forward to like whoah!
Nov 17- my final feature for news reporting is due, AND the new GK line comes out! just in time for me to send my list to Santa! I've been loving wearing Glamour Kills! It's comfy, cute, and fits me perfectly. at first I just wanted to wear the same clothing as my favorite artist, now maybe I'll be the one getting paid to rock GK some day!
Nov 30th - Glamour Kills tour!!!! with ALL TIME LOW!!! I am so excited! It'ss be myy 4th time this year seeing ATL. Theire shows never get old! I love the feeling of being sick before the show like I am nervous or something, and then getting there and just feeling so naturally high, I love it!
Another thing about dates..vital advice. Gentlemen, do not spend the entire time on a date, with your phone texting another girl. This happened to my friend. It made me second guess the feelings that I have for another rockstar. I know there is the perfect guy out there for me.
He will be everything good about a rockstar, and a good boy. He'll swing his guitar in that way that'll make my tummy turn. He'll flip his hair in that way that'll make my heart flip. He'll get attacked after a show during a signing by a million fangirls who will ask him to do everything from kissing him on the cheek for a picture, to asking him to father her kids...but then he'll come onto the tour bus with me. I'll smile because I'll knw that I am the only one he'll ever want that kind of attention from. I'll feel blessed to know this. He'll propose to me on stage after performing my favorite song. We'll get married at the House of Blues where we met. He'll never call me 'Marissa A------' because he'll know how much I hate my middle name. In return, I'll support his musical lifestyle. Whether he opens up for bands the rest of his life, or if he sells out arenas. this is my fairytale, and it'll happen someday...

It made me think
I saw the movie FAME a few weeks ago with my friend. It was okay. Not what i expected, and I was hopeing for a longer movie. There was just too much in it, and i don't feel as though they let the characters build their stories enough. It was just thrown out there. But that's not why I'm venting.
There was a scene where this ballet dancer was talking with his instructor or something. It was the end of his senior year. He always dreamed of being a famous dancer. He worked his butt off the entire time he was in this school. Harder than anyone else. He was being told that he wasn't good enough. That no matter how much he worked he could never be good enough. However, he would make a good instructor. The scene cut to him and his friends at a train station. I could all too perfectly see everything going through his mind. He feels lost. Like he had been lied to. Like he didn't know who he was. Like he had wasted time doing something that he could be no better than mediocre at. It looked as though he was going to commit suicide by jumping infront of a train. His friends pulled him back. I started crying like a baby during this scene, and my friend couldn't understand why.
I've been there, and seen what wanting something so bad can do to your brain. Thankfully I never went so far as to try to kill myself. But there was a point where I wanted to die. I wanted it so badly. My flute was my craft. It was all I knew for years. I practiced longer and harder than anyone else. But I wasn't good enough. No matter what I did, how I practiced, I couldn't have it. It wasn't fair. Why the hell was I here, if I couldn't be a band director, what the hell would I do with my life? I would lie in bed crying myself to sleep dreading my next practice. My next lesson. I hated it. I hated that life. So I got out of it. I pulled myself away from doing something I would one day regret.
I got a glimpse of this again. I was told that my news article wasn't good enough to get published. I didn't go into a slump though. It was concidered. I have my foot in the door, and one day I'll get through it. I love my new life more than anything.
I have something I didn't have the first time. People who want me to succeed. I have fans of my new craft. teachers that are willing to take me on as a challege to them If I can succeed as a writer, anyone can.
Dear Jesus, help me though this. Help me to pick myself up when I am down. Keep the feeling of 'why am i doing this?' away for forever. thank you. amen

New stuff...Rad stuff...stay tuned!
Hey readers! (all 2 of you!)
Well, I have some awesome announcements for you!
I have a new project comeing up with my friend Ashley. I don't wanna give away too much, just be prepared to be blown away once we get it going!
As I stated previously, I'm now a Street Team Leader for the band, Days Difference! It's been going great! I love talking to the girls every night about how we can improve the site and make it fun for the viewers. most of all, I love doing something that other people notice about a band that I love. Maybe it's that their sound is unlike anything i've ever heard, but in a different way than the other bands i love were different.(maybe i'm in love with one of the members...who knows!)
haha, well anyway, I've decided that I'm not going to update this with music stuff anymore. It was a good idea, and it got me started, and it raised a lot to my awareness. I didn't fail, I found something that didn't work out. Not to mention, I announce this stuff on my twitter all the time, and that's just easier to read because it limits me to 140 characters! Besides, if my newest project works out, I'll be doing this stuff on a more professional, regular basis. So I'm not quitting, just moving! and I'm excited!
I'm ready to take you're world by storm! Are you? haha!
Don't worry, I'll still write random things here!

Busy Busy me
sorry I've been neglecting my own music blog. I've been busy like whoah! Don't worry, it's not just because of some stupid reason, like school! I've been made one of the Street Team Leaders for the band, Days Difference! Awesome, right? So I've been doing a lot of stuff for the fansite. It would mean the world to me if you guys would check out the fansite. I'm not a founder, I'm a co-web, but I talk to the girls every night and we're doing our best to make it a good site to inform the fans. It's kept me busier than ever, but I wouldn't have it any other way! http://www.daysdifferenceonline.com/
Also, I've decided that I'm going to start a video youtube blog. So look for that in the coming week. I'll probably film it either later on today, or tomorrow.
I've been getting asked this question a lot lately..."What ever happen to Panic! at the Disco? Don't you listen to them anymore?" ugg, ignorant people. Of course I do! Just because I listen to other bands doesn't mean I've stopping likeing them. The opportunity rose for me to be a Street Team Leader for a band that I see a lot of potential in, so I grabbed it! I love music of all kinds, bottom line. As much as I love Panic! at the Disco, they don't define my musical library. None of the bands I listen to do! Yes, they do have the biggest chapter so far in my book of music, but just a chapter, not the whole thing!
I love my life right now, and I'm gonna keep on keepin' on. I'm just putting one foot infront of the other, and praying that I get somewhere!
But yes, I promise I'll try to update this more often. I'll start off by saying that Days Difference's debut album is now available on iTUNES! and their merch store...go!
teehee, i had to edit this because i'm a goober! good thing i wanna be a reporter and not an editor! Thanks Ashley for point thing out, you're awesome!

Hey lovlies! A Rocket to the Moon has loads of stuff going on right now! No doubt about it, they are one of my most blogged about bands these days because of it! So who better to tell you what's happening for them than Mr. Nick Santino himself?

DISCLAIMER and leaks
Okay, so this is just a disclaimer, and a note for future readers.
A few people have told me that a new A Rocket to the Moon song was released. But here's the thing, it wasn't released, it was leaked. I will not post leaks, unless it's the "official" ones put out by the band themselves. Leaking otherwise I feel is beyond disrespectful to the band. I don't believe that a true friend/fan will leak a song before it's intended for us to hear it. So I'm sorry, but I will have nothing to do with leaks. I'm not about to build a career by pissing off the bands I love, and want nothing more than to write about them, promote them, and listen to their work. Yes, bands put out music for us to listen to. But they loose money through greedy crap. Along with that, I will not post links to illegal downloading sites. Once this song is officially released, I'll be sure to let you all know A.S.A.P!
I truly appriciate all the readers I have. Introducing people to music is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Music as changed my life dramatically over the past couple of years, and it's all because someone told me about a band, or i read about a band.
With that, tour dates, release dates, and reviews are coming!
Peace, Love, and Stereo!

Disco Curtis, and Days Difference
hey music lovers! So Days Difference officially announced who they will be touring with, and guess what, I stumbled into an amazing band while getting this info! Anyway, they are going to be touring with School Boy Humor, All Star, and Disco Curtis! Dates are not up yet, as always I'll let you know when they are!
So anyway, I was browsing the other bands, as I usually do, and discovered that Disco Curtis has extreme potential! Their very first EP comes out on the 26th of september, and today is the last day that you can pre-order it over at smartpunk.net. I guess you get a rad poster with it, so go to their myspace, and give them a listen, and then you can decide if they are worth the $5.99!
Sorry it's late on the date, but I just heard these guys for the first time yesturday!
I found out today that a lot of girls want a relationship with a guy that is always around. That she can have at her disposure. I learned today that I don't want a guy to worship me ALL the time. I'd rather have a guy with a life, and when we have time for each other, then we could express it. I had a dream last night, and I had an hour long drive today that made me think. All I did in the drive was listen to music, and it made me miss you. All I did in the Dream, was love you.
Sorry, a little bit of personal stuff, but music makes me think, and I love it!

Tuesday News!!!! BLG, ARTTM, P, DD, B-182
Happy tuesday everyone! Lots of updates today!!! First of all, my Cd picks for September!
Paramore-Brand New Eyes- comes out on the 29th, and you can order your pre-order right now! check that out, and loads of other goodies on their myspace. You can download their single 'Ignorance' right now on iTunes. http://www.myspace.com/paramore
Boys Like Girls-Love Drunk- comes out on the 8th, and you can pre-order it, and the entire album is streaming on their myspace right now!!!! Single 'Love Drunk' is available right now on iTUnes. http://www.myspace.com/boyslikegirls
You can currently pre-order a Rocket to the Moon's upcoming full-length, 'On Your Side.' There is a standard preorder, and a deluxe that comes with a shirt, and picture book. I went for the deluxe myself, because I'm a sucker for a picture book! They also added new member by the name of Andrew, so visit their myspace, and show them all some love! http://www.myspace.com/arockettothemoon
As I believe I posted last night, you can check out a sneek peak to Days Difference's new music video for 'Are You Happy.' Release date of the video is still unknown, but I'll let you know once I get the word!
Last but certainly not least, Blink-182 has cancelled shows, and will resume on friday in Kansas City. This sucks, I know, but fans must be understanding. A dear friend of theirs past away, and the funeral to my understanding was last night. Keep the family of DJ AM, and Blink-182 in your thoughts and prayers. Here is the link to Alternative Press' which further explains the situation. Re-schedules, and refunds are still unknown. http://www.altpress.com/news/blinkcleve.htm

New Fall Out Boy music video!!....sorta
Hey everyone! Check out this hilarious "music video." It's basically a little film entitled "A Weekend at Pete Rose's" set to 'Headslide first into cooperstown villiage on a bad bet.' Not ment to be taken seriously at all. But if you enjoy Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith goofing around with a Pete Wentz, and discussing 80s movies, you'll love it! It's awesome for some laughes!

Jennifer's Body
Hey Everyone! Got the 'back to school' blues? I know that I do! Ya know what i do when I have the blues? I listen to music! I especially love hearing new music. Today just so happens to be the day that you can buy the soundtrack to 'Jennifer's Body.' It features new music from groups such as Panic! at the Disco, All Time Low, Cute is what we Aim for, and oodles of other amazing bands!
When you buy the soundtrack off of iTUNES, you also get the music video for Panic! at the Disco's song 'New Perspective.' I can't post a link to the video, because it hasn't been officially released except through iTUNES yet, but it's amazing. Spencer and Brendon look absolutly amazing. I'd let them save me from aliens anytime! (their outfits just reminded of the movie 'Men in Black' so that justifies that statement!)
So kill the blues, save the music industry, and buy the soundtrack! The movie itself hit's theaters September 18th.
Have a good day everyone!

Blink-182 are Fan-Approved!
Finally, after much heart-break, and waiting, the kings of punk-pop have returned to the stage. August 14th Blink-182 will take with them bands who they have musically inspired, including Chester French, Panic! at the Disco, and Fall Out Boy, to the Post gazette Pavillion in Pennsylvania. Every band hit the stage that night with one intention. To please all 29,000 fans in the place!
Chester french is made up of a group of kids who met in college, and stem from all around the country. Their name comes from artist and sculptor, Daniel Chester French. This group of kids had amazing fan communication throughout their set. The crowd seemed to react appropriately, despite their thirst for the main attraction.
Following the up and comers, came Vegas-based band, Panic! at the Disco. arriving on tour with a replacement guitarist and bassist due to a resent split, the quartet played fan favorites, as well as a new song, 'New Perspective.' Stage chemistry was amazing, and the songs came across as solid as when the original members performed them together. P!ATD has been known to play the occation Blink-182 cover song back in their basment days, which fueled their excitment throughout their set. The crowd responded well to everyone's favorite Vegas gentlemen, but still thirsted for more.
Illonois based Fall Out Boy came out with high spirits. Their complete joy of opening up for one of their own inspirations, and simply being able to perform was enough for these four guys to put on a spectacular show. Again, playing fan favorites from all of their hit records. They even let the crowd choose which song they wanted to hear, by measurement of applause. The crowd settled on a 'fun new song', which was a cover of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing.' They set into this song with a little help from Panic! frontman, Brendon Urie. the crowd responded accordingly. By screaming, cheering, and full out applauding.
The lights go down, the phones and cameras go up, and the curtain drops. We are greeted by the fun loving trio, Blink-182. Not only did they please the fans by playing hits such as 'All the Small Things,' 'Stay Together for the Kids,' and 'What's my age again?', but also by having drum artist Travis Barker hooking himself to a harness, and playing the flying and swinging drum kit. Excitment overwhelmed even the king of awesome himself, Tom Delonge. During many of the songs the words seemed to escape him, and he reached to the crowd to help remember the words. Mark Hoppus even noted the fun by describing it as "a birthday cake wrapped around a wedding ring, tucked inside an orgasm." A phrase that even the greatest of critics couldn't create Mr. Hoppus, truely!
'Dammit,' will close out the performance for the evening, being joined by floating wavy men that you often see at a car lot. They couldn't have chosen a better song to sum it all up. The kings have picked up where they left off, and have plans to hit the studio after their reunion tour. After so many years, they continue to inspire up and coming musical legends, and remain total bad-asses.
After talking to fans afterwards, some simply gave me a thumbs up when I asked what they thought about the show. I also got a "Blink-182 put on the performance of a lifetime." Even fans who came for the opening acts stated that they are walking away with new heros in the world of punk-pop music.

SERIOUS STUFF
Hello all 9 readers!
okay, first of all, BLINK 182 was amazing! and it really made me realize something. I can take this little private blog, and make it into something. Maybe not anything huuuge, but something, that could lead to perhaps a bigger website. So, I'll be using this blog to update about music that I like. No one wants to read about my boohoo shitaki...hell I don't even wanna ready about it. Maybe if something inspirational happens, i'll post about it, but primarily, i'll be using this to boost my hopeful future.
SO FIRST OF ALL- tell your friends! rissaatthedisco.blogspot.com. I don't care if they don't follow me, but if they read my reviews and updates, that would be amazing.
SECONDLY- help me out. Is there a band I should listen to? Did you go to the same concert as I, and wanna contribute to my review? LET ME KNOW! Did you write a review and want me to read/post it as well? gimme!
3RD-LEE- Follow my twitter for 'on the scene' concert updates. My twitter will be used for useless purposes as well, but on concert dates, it'll be updated with concert stuff. I'll also update it with CD releases and stuff. twitter.com/rissaatthedisco
Thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far, and to those who will help me go further. I appriciate all feedback on reviews, good or bad. I want my dreams to come true, and I've started from the lowest low, and I wanna go as far as I can.
WITH THAT! Here are some dates you should know!
OCtober 6th- Days Difference CD release date. These boys are talented musicians, and they deserve all the recognition in the world.
October 13th- A Rocket to the Moon release their first full length 'On your side.' I've never seen them live, however their first EP 'greetings from' is very impressive.
NEXT BLOG WILL BE A REVIEW OF BLINK 182's concert!
Thanks all!
Peace, Reinvent Love, and music,

L.O.V.E
I'm a writer. I love writing, and I always have. I've discovered that love can change, and me saying that I love writing is proof of that. In high school, just a mere 2 years ago, I hated english, and everything that went along with it. I loved flute performance, and still do, but the passion i tried to force just wasn't there. My flute love, will always be a happy hobbie. Music, it's obvious I love music. Concerts and mosh pits are just fun to get lost in! Maybe not so much the mosh pits, but I do love getting lost in music.
I've rescently taken an intrest in dancing. Watching broadway shows, and actually paying attention to detail. Taking my alone time at night to put on some The Maine, or All Time Low, and just dance has been a huuuge stress reliever. I love it. I love after dancing, taking a shower, and sitting down with my laptop, and writing my stories, poems, lyrics, whatever comes out. I just let the keyboard direct me where to go.
Listen to the music you love. Write what you know. Dance like no one is watching, when they are. Live with courage and passion for what you're doing.
I loved this guy so so so much. So much that I prayed every night that he would find me. I prayed that he would be the one. He changed, and is no longer the guy that I fell head over heels for. Now, I can say that I am in Love with a different guy, who seems similar to the first one. It's not settling, it's changing. But this new guy, I just have to find him one more time, and tell him. Had i known then, what I've learned since, I wouldn't have let him go so easily.
Toast to a new outlook on life! Cheers!

Are you happy?
I know I am! I sure as hell the happiest I've been in forever! All the bad stuff that's happened in the past few years just doesn't matter at all anymore! Especially, those boys. I am realizing that i am much more of a woman than they will ever end up with. One of which started talking to me again, it all started when my friend and I were bored at the hotel, so we decided to text someone random. Something was mentioned about me, and he freaked out that I was there! Like, dude, seriously, I'm over you, so don't even try and go back and smooth talk around me. I felt it happend, he pulled the "not gonna lie...that's hot" shit. I felt myself being pulled in and I remembered something. I've seen WAY more amazing men in the past two weeks! Days Difference, All Time Low, ect.
Warped Tour was nothing short of awesome! I met Pat Kirch from The Maine, and got my booklet signed by the rest of The Maine. I also met Jean Paul, and Mike from Cash Cash. All pretty nice, except for one of the guys just looked at us weird when we tried to talk to him. I won't mention who, but buddy, you're not good enough to ignore some of the few fans you have!
Highlight of the day however, was when I touched the extremly sweaty arm of Jack Barakat! I fought hard for my spot, and got pretty messed up. When I came out of the pit, my hair was covered in sweat, and lookin' tragic. But I didn't care, I had the time of my life!
I even had a few more people follow my warped updates on twitter, I think four more followers. It's not much, but it's something. I can feel success not far from my reach. I know what it takes to be happy. Before, I wouldn't have known how to be happy, but I'm finding that the answer is to just do what makes you happy.
Days Difference also makes me happy! Such a great, talented band!
go listen to their new single, "Are you Happy?" like right now, k!
Warped Review soon to come. I'm trying to think of the best way to write such an article. I want it to be my best yet!
I am becoming my mother, and I have one word to prove it...musicians!

How can I resist ya?
I'm watching MAMMA MIA! and realizing everything that has changed! I seem to be writing about that a lot these days, change. But it's been happening a lot lately, and I am loving every miniute of it! The Donna and Tanya to my Rosie, refering to Mamma Mia!, are going in different directions in their life, as am I. Even though I no longer associate with the Tanya in the group, I know that Donna and I will always have fun when we're together, no matter how long we are apart.
The Green Day concert was absolutly amazing! i can honestly say that it was the best concert ever! However, I would have mad scads more fun if my mom and aunt hadn't been there. NEVER EVER going to go to a concert with them again.
DESPITE that, it was absolutly amazing! Billie Joe Armstrong has inspire so many amazing modern day bands, and because of that, I have a purpose as well. I had never realized Mike Dirnt's extended talents until last night. I knew that he was amazing, but he can sing amazingly! and Tre Cool, is indescribable. He is just awesome! Thank You Green Day! No doubt that if it wasn't for this band, I wouldn't know good music, or even attempt to write. Not to mention, they helped me through all my ruts in high school!
You wanna see a HUGGGE smile?

That would be me with Jeremiah from Days Difference. An amazing fresh band! Their album drops this fall, and I can't wait! They are all extremly talented musicians.
This kid is nothing short of absolutly perfect! I got to talk to him for a good amount of time, and it was comfortable and flawless. Knowing then what I've learned recently, I would have proposed to him! 23, christian, guitarist, single, he likes football, and spider-man. I'm gonna pay close attention to this band! ;-)

Love and Happiness? OMFJRUS?
Okay, awkward teenie typing....everyone does it, even if they don't admit it!
Anywhooo the All Time Low concert the other day was amazingly fun! Had it's ups and downs like concerts will have, but I loved hearing their new songs live! so much better than the produced versions! The review is one blog down. Out of all the reviews i've written, this is probably the one i'm least proud of. I feel like at the concert I was too excited to focus on anything bad that was happening! But that's okay, I just won't send that one in! But I would still appriciate the exposure!
My cousin might be making a website for me to post all of my reviews! So RAD! I figured i could also have a section for links and stuff to great bands, and other rad websites. Such as Alternative Press' site, Ohio Rocks, ect. I'm open to hear other ideas for this website, because i will hopefully be talking with my cousin about it within the month! Website name ideas are also welcome! I've thought of calling it 'Rissa's Reviews,' but that's all I have, and I wouldn't mind some options!
Anyway, at the concert the other day, I heard a new band, called Days Difference. So much talent! Blew me away! I got to meet them after the show, and they were all sweethearts! I do however have to buy a new pair of grey converse, because I had nothing else for them to sign! I would HIGHLY recomend you check them out! They are going places, I know it! They've already opened for the Plain White T's, Paramore, All Time Low, and a few others. They released an album independantly, and they will be releasing one on their record label this FALL.
I know where I belong. I belong in the audience, with a pen and paper, glaring up at the amazing lights. Watching as the love of my life does what he loves behind his guitar, and looking out at me flipping his hair and stumming away. I'm a step closer to this rock and roll fairy-tale. I come a step closer every day, and I can't wait until it's 100% fulfilled!
I also got my All Time Low booty shorts! Super comfy, and make me feel awesome!

Tour too good for a name!
Before they venture to the second half of warped tour, All Time Low did a small unnamed tour to promote their newest album, Nothing Personal. All Time Low took the stage on July 16th at the Cleveland House of Blues, a familiar venue for the Maryland punk-pop quartet.
Days Difference will be their first opening act. Although the crowd failed to realize their musical talents, this Virginia based band of two sets of brothers, had amazing stage chemistry, and towards the end of their set the crowd noticed this as well. The crowd decided to thank Days Difference by crushing the person standing infront of them as much as possible to try to hold the hand of frontman and keyboard player, Jeremy Smith.
Cartel was next to take the stage, giving an okay performance. Not sure if it was their time-frame, or the idea that they were opening for kids younger than them, but something was missing. The crowd seemed more focused on pushing upfront than the music.
We the Kings will follow. They are no strangers to the All Time Low fans. They had amazing chesmistry with the crowd, which was helped by frontman, Travis Clark's promoting of a crowd surfing contest.
Finally, the sheet is taken off of the drum kit that we all wanted to see. We hear an electronic message introducing the reason for the gathering. Maryland export, All Time Low. Cell Phones and cameras pop up, and bras start flying as they burst into 'Lost in Stereo' from their new record. Having great chemistry all throughout with each other and with the crowd, the band was able to blow away the entire venue. Frontman, Alex Gaskarth, sounds more amazing live than on the newest album under their belt. After frequent exchanging of dick jokes with lead guitarist, Jack Barakat, and calling out drummer, Rian Dawson for messing up a song, they leave the stage. The crowd wasn't ready to let them go, and for good reason. No one was ready to call it night, including the band, because they came out for an encore. Despite the musical flubs throughout the show, they gave a great performance, and gave the kids their moneys worth. Let us wish them luck, and hope for an equally amazing show during their warped tour dates!

I have mixed feelings-Nothing Personal
Here is my review on All Time Low's new record, Nothing Personal.
All Time Low. Possibly one of the best exports from Maryland. They were recognized as Alternative Press 'band of the year' for 2008, as well as being one of their 'most anticipated albums.' Their second full-length under Hopeless Records, Nothing Personal, had a wide range of producers, leaving no ryhme or reason to the flow of the songs. Matt Squire produced majority of NP, as well as their 2007 album So Wrong, It's Right, and his songs are not hard to pick out. Squire produced single "Weightless" is an anthem for the young adult who doesn't know which way is up, and shows off ALT's main lyricist Alex Gaskarth's strive for lyrical excellance. Awesome job there Squire, however songs such as "Stella" and "The Party Song" come across a tad over-produced and have a re-occuring theme of a scratched-record affect. Even techno-beat ballad "Too Much" has a stutter. Too bad, a techno-beat ballad would have been genius otherwise. We also note Squire's songs by the building bridge that can be heard in various tunes that he's taken part in. Overall, Squire's touchs gave fans the All Time Low they love, but with just a pinch of "maturity."
Butch Walker also had part in songs "Damned If I do Ya" and " Sick Little Games." Walker brought out more technical guitar and drum parts, which fans will love to hear. These songs will transfer to a live show very well. Both songs will have you in a car singing them at the top of your lungs. Way to go Walker!
S*A*M and Sluggo's songs, "Lost in Stereo" and "Hello Brooklyn" will leave fans, and critics, mixed feelings about their producing skills. Whereas girls everywhere will be shaking around to dance anthem "Lost in Stereo," "Hello Brooklyn" will unlikly make your top 25 on Itunes. "Brooklyn" has a musical feeling, and reminded me of "High School Musical 3" song "I want it all" with the screaming out of random cities. (Don't even act like you don't know what I am talking about!)
David Bendeth is our forth producer with songs "Walls" and "Therapy." Why mence words? Both songs are over-produced. Gaskarth's ability to sting together simple words to make outstanding phrases is what saved both of these songs.
Overall, Nothing Personal will give fans everything that they've been waiting for. All new with sounds that are new to the band, as well as their fans, but with a tip of the hat to the oldie but goodie songs. However I have a feeling that one will want to hear these aongs live to make proper judgement. To Alex, Jack, Rian, and Zack, amazing job! However producers, lay off of the fun toys. Alex has a very noteable voice, and impressive vocal range, so let him sing! These guys have instuments, and it would have been nice to hear them more often. Even if they claim to not know how to play them. If fans wanted to hear stuff that is Lip-Sync-able, they would be listening to Lady Gaga, and wouldn't know who All Time Low was.
Review my Review please! I wrote that strickly from a critcs point of view. As a FAN, I absolutly adore this album, but stand by what I wrote. I do feel parts are over-produced, even as a fan.

She held the world
Wow, so much has happened within 14 hours it's rediculous! Today started out amazing! My parents left for a few days to get away from me and my sister, rad! I got ALL of my All Time Low packages came today! Therefore, I got to listen to Nothing Personal a day early! I know that it's been on 'The Leak' all week, but I said that I wouldn't listen to it until I had the CD in my hands. ANND I was one of the lucky 250 kiddies who got an autographed poster of Jack Barakat, with my JAGK purchase! The shirt is cute, comfy, and JAGK!
So while listening to my beloved new CD, I did my routine website browse. Facebook, Myspace, PATDonline. This is where I recieved the most devastating new in the world. MY beloved band, Panic at the Disco split up. Brendon and Spencer are continuing Panic at the Disco and the role of guitarist and bassist are being replaced. Even though Ryan and Jon are doing a thing together, the idea of some other guitarist playing RYAN's guitar parts. Singing something that RYAN wrote, totally sickens me. Panic at the Disco = Ryan, Spencer, Brendon, and Jon to me. this will ALWAYS be my definition of Panic at the Disco.
Having said that, I've been getting more messages of 'Are You okay' now than when my grandmother died. So here are the answers to a few questions i've been getting asked.
1-Are you okay?- I will be.
2- Will you ever listen to Panic again? - Absolutly. Even though I may have harsh thoughts now, those guys have impacted me individually, as well as a whole. I will always support their projects, whatever they are.
3-Who do you blame?-time. I don't blame any of them. I understand that will four totally different personalities, they are going to have different goals.
4- what are you going to do during Blink 182?- I will either freak out and cry, or i'll be perfectly okay. I don't know yet, but hopefully I won't let that ruin my night. I'm going to see some of my favorite bands, and have a good time with one of my best friends. Hopefully my friend won't mind a few tears here and there.
With that being said, my career goals haven't changed. Panic at the Disco can be connected to almost everything i've done within the past few years. I realised my passion through them, and that is introducing people to new music, and giving them a "New Perspective."
Expect a review of Nothing Personal in my next post. All Time Low are a band that everyone needs to keep an eye on. i can see them taking the world by storm.

Reinvent Love. that's sums it all up!

FEAR
I've realised that my biggest fear is that i'll be nothing more than another girl in the crowd.
that my biggest inspirations will never know me past the fangirl in the crowd.
I want so badly to get inside the head of these amazing personalities that have written beautiful lyrics, or just appeared to have fun. I love every single band that i love for a reason. All with different sounds, and personality. The idea that i might never get to ask them burning questions, scares the shit outta me.
I'm going to have to take some risks.
I'm not going to get where i need to be just hopeing that it'll happen.
I'm going to start living Fearlessly.
I have to. I don't want to be just another screaming girl in the crowd.
I WILL make this happen!
that my biggest inspirations will never know me past the fangirl in the crowd.

So tell me how this ends
I'm dieing to know
Everything that you're a fan of
I happen to be too.
However I'm over you now
I'm at home with my wonderful life
But I gotta know
How do you find your way back into my head?
This girls thoughts cannot be your home.
Lights out, this is the last time i'll say goodbye.
Time to face the truth
There will never be you and I.
Your baby face, and guitar string hands
Don't punch me the way his does.
Are you catching my drift yet?
I said it once, I'll say it as many times as it takes.
Goodbye.
I'm dieing to know

Every girl wants to be the one you write a song about
How can I be so Lucky?
An acousitic guitar makes me go weak in the knees
Your voice makes me fall to the ground.
I can't throw down a phrase as smooth
as your velvety sound.
Hidden memories in a Lyric
This soundtrack is a biography.
You don't need chocolates for me
just words spun just right.
Please don't make me regret
Don't break this heart.
Because no matter what, it's yours.

something everyone needs to hear
"Forgiveness isn't letting them off the hook. It's taking back from them what they took from you."
I heard this today, and it inspired me greatly. I love it when things happen that make me think, and thats definitely what this quote did for me. No matter if you forgive someone or not, they are going to have what they did to you on their conscience. So to forgive someone, is to take back your dignity, pride, and that little bit of yourself that was stolen. Forgiveness does more for you, than it will for someone else. Not forgiving someone will give them that power over you. That spot in your head will be consumed by hate, and a state of confusion. Don't let anyone else ever take a part of your life for you. Live your life for yourself, because that is the reason you were given this life. Everyone knows that in any handful of people, i'm more likely to hold a grudge than anyone else. It's been a part of me that i'm not proud of my entire life. I thought that I was hurting someone who hurt me by not forgiveing them. Guess what, I forgave someone who greatly hurt me more than anyone ever had. I feel happier, and like my life is mine, not theirs. Guess what else, they STILL feel like crap. I know that by holding a grudge, i'm not hurting anyone but myself. Not to say that I take joy in other peoples pain, but I do enjoy to see Karma at work.
From now on, I plan to FORGIVE and be FEARLESS.
I plan to live my life for myself, because if I live for anyone else, it's turning my life over to them.
That's not what God intended. He indended this life for me and only me. That's how I am special. That's how I am going to live.

make a fool of myself when you hang around
I keep saying how I can't wait
to be the girl in the pictures with you.
There's something different about how your goofy heart
your bubblegum laughter, with a sprig of mint
keeps me begging for more.
The heart of a child, with the looks of a rockstar,
dancing like a nerd round all the photographers.
Make me feel like i'm where i'm meant to be.
Make me feel like i can be the one whose lost in your music
with no regrets looking back.
Hold my hand, lead me through the crowd
let's get lost in stereo the only way we know how.
Show them how it's done, for kids like us.
I wanna be the one that he looks at
and says 'she's the one dancing like she's drunk
part of her charm is that she doesn't care!'
Throw the jewlery away, write me a song
Get rid of the keys, bust out the guitar
to be the girl in the pictures with you.

Transformers Review *SPOILER ALERT*
'Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen' was nothing short of action packed from the time I sat down in my chair, to the time that I was speeding on the highway with the idea that my mom's Aveo may be an autobot in disguise. We have our main human character, Sam, going off to college, however fate has a different plan for him. Sam wants nothing but a normal life for a little while, but the decepticons have something else in mind. Such as killing Optimus Prime, and taking over the sun, therefore destroying the earth. A Prime is the only autobot that can destroy the Fallen, regretfully we loose our main robot character while he fights a league of decepticons. Sam, his girlfriend McKayla, his roomate Leo, and our old friend guy from Sector Seven, start on a journey to find the matrix, which can bring back Optimus Prime.
Hopefully the viewer will be so caught up in the action that they won't care about the drawn out scenes. As amazing as the story is, and suberb the acting is, some sequences were drawn out and uneeded. The three hour long movie is intense, and not for the chain smoker.
Overall, Rissa gives 'Transformers' a 9.6 of 10. My initial reaction throughout the film was 'wow' and wasn't until the drive home that I realised the length of the film!

holy s-f batman!
Holy DRAMA fest those last few posts! Apologies for my girlish rants, but it needed to be done. The point that I was trying to make, is that I think guys make us way more complex than we are. Don't lie, don't play, don't be an asshole. I don't think those rules are too complex.
ANYWAY! REVIEW TIME!
Green Day's music video for 21 Guns needs to be called out. It's one of the more moving music videos i've seen in awhile. It will do good for younger bands to look up to them for their fearless composition. As a young band, Green Day was more famous for songs about getting high, and masturbation. As they are fathers, husbands, and fiances now, they are helping give voice to their younger listeners, and those who have been with them since I was born. In this video we are put into a house with the band playing, and a young couple caught in the emotion of blazing guns. The couple reflected the band's cover for their 2009 hit album '21st century breakdown.' Armstong's sad and moving eyes cry out for his generation, as well as the generation that looks up to him, to speak out. If we are going to take anything from Green Day, it's to not always take ourselves seriously, but know when to get serious.

dear typical male,
I don't blame you for finding another girl. I blame you for leading me on.
I don't blame you for protecting yourself. I blame you for not protecting me at the same time.
I don't blame you for making me feel special. I blame you for not meaning it.
I don't blame you for throwing hints my way. I blame you for thinking i would be so stupid to not figure it out.
Ladies, let us invest in an asshole radar gun...it'll save a lot of time, and feelings!

feel free to suggest otherwise
but upon being said this is how i translated these words...
'so i really do like you, blah blah blah, but the whole distance thing, blah blah blah' - well as hot as i think you are, i can't be in a relationship with you, mainly because i want someone at my every becking call. Your three hour drive would likely make me unintrested by the time you got here.
'I don't want it to seem like i was leading you on'- but i was just to fulfill my boyish needs to flirt with anything with boobs
'i don't want to be unfair to you to be commited to me when you would never see me'- i don't want you to be commited to me while i suck face with other concert girls. i'm taking the high road with you.
Here's what I have to say...i'm just going to quote all time low and say that Like a Weightless currency your words don't mean shit to me. They use to mean the world to me, but you've just proved your boy-ish species stupid yet again. Better men than you have tried to redeem yourselves, but don't look this way again. Your ego will be shot, and we wouldn't want that now, would we?
Ugg, why do people assume things...not even obvious things, but stupid things? Like why do people assume that just because you're in college, this mean that you're not a virgin? Sorry, gentlemen, but this status will not be changed until the ink is dryed on the marriage certificate. Deal with it, and if you can't, go find another girl.

oh oh oh how was i suppose to know?
Ugg, that's it! I'm sick of being taken for a fool. It takes more than a sweet talker to capture the heart of this girl. The worst part is that my best friend didn't tell me about this side of you in the first place. That's her burden to bear. Your burden to bear is that you decided to make me feel like the stars, as well as a few other girls. They can have you, because i'll never want you.
Ugg, I've stopped associating songs by bands I love with boys. Because then everytime i would listen to that song, i would do nothing but think of his ugly face.
I love how my best friend can tell me all this crap i hadn't known, knowing that it would tear me apart, and then go on with her life. I had to be there when she decided to cry her eyes out over a stupid boy, who i warned her about. Now if she thinks that calling and texting me will make anything better, seriously?! The proper thing to do would have been to warn me about this stupid flirt-machine in the first place. Thank God i got outta this before anyone got truly hurt. I'm more pissed off than hurt. Pissed off that i was lied to, and that you're doing the same thing so some other poor girls. I told him once that any girl who got rejected by him would be torn forever. Thankfully, I rejected you darlin!
Here's to a NEW life, and the one and only love of my life!
One day i'll have it all. A good career, rockstar husband, and a good laptop to write stuff.
Dear All Time Low,
Lovin the new songs!
Love,
Rissa

Curiosity killed nothing...
but it wrote a novel.
Since my lazy summer days have started, I've found myself in my favorite routine. Staying up all hours of the night writing, and watching all the movies i never get a chance to watch. On one note, most writers do their writing during a normal person's strange hours. Even the most popular writers of my day. Ms J.K. Rowling would write in a coffee shop while her child napped, and at night. The ever popular Stephanie Meyer would wake up from a dream and start writing. But this blog isn't about that. Just trying to boost my ego by comparing myself to successful writers...
No, this is about exploring my curiosity. Can we really predict how someone will change within a few years time? And should private and professional life be kept totally separate? Maybe I'm being selfish, but my curiosity was sparked when I decided to watch my Senior musical, 'Flop.' What a blessing it was to be apart of my school's Drama club. However, I was a dancer/chorus girl. Our director, Mr. Hitmar is one of the most amazing men I've ever had the pleassure to meet. He taught me way more than how to handle the stage. If not for the Drama club, I wouldn't know how to make a fool of myself without caring. I couldn't help but wonder why I was cast just as a chorus girl. I was so sure I would get a principal role. No matter what you say, in high school the principals think they are better, but I observed most of the talent in the chorus line.
Currently one of the principal characters, who use to be a very good friend of mine, got pregnant, and unfortunatly her baby girl passed away very shortly after birth of a rare heart disorder.
Another one of the principals, is a Stripper.
Looking back, at how they were both dancers, and looking at the outfits they wore in public, I wonder why so many, myself included, were shocked. But at the time they both seemed like innocent young women with some sass. Knowing that within two years they would have taken a turn for the worst, would Mr.H given them the roles which any of us chorus girls would have loved?
I remember that during a rehersal once, I did what the chorus was thought to do. Take up backround space, and let the principals shine. Mr.H wasn't into that, so he told us to push our way to the front, and shine a bit. So the rest of the rehersals, and performances I did just that. I pushed my way towards the front, however the rest of the chorus stayed in the back. Looking at the DVD at one point the spotlights are on me, and the five principals. After shows, I was approached by some of my fellow cast-mates parants. Complimented on pushed the principals out of the way, and for not wearing slutty black shorts during the dance numbers.
I guess that's why i was cast as a chorus girl, Mr.H knew I wouldn't be afraid to motivate my fellow chorus line, and I would show myself through my character. My character, like the rest of the chorus line, was a stuggling actor...
"Show biz we all should know, pop fizz we come and go. Pop quiz, think it's a hit? Sorry closed that's all that's it. Show biz we all should know, pop fizz we come and go." -FLOP

Here, Then, and Now
Cleaned out my room a little bit today...after you pick yourselves up you may ask 'What took you so long woman!?' well the simple answer to that is, I though i would have been long moved out of here by now. But since the economy sucks, looks like i'm stuck here for awhile.
Anyway, I found a lot of stuff. I found a really rad necklace i forgot i had. It's a boombox. I also found a lot of old pictures, and even Dream Street fanfics i wrote a long time ago! I threw away A LOT of shit! It felt good to get rid of so much shit that hold such bad memories! I got rid of all the reciepts with someones name on them..all the stickers from the shirts i bought from him...everything! at the time I thought it would be cute for us to look back on that stuff and be like 'Hey honey, see how much of a creeper i was!' but since there will never be an us, it's gone!
I got rid of a lot of pictures with my ex best friend. I know people say to never throw away pictures, but to be quite honest I just got pissed off when i saw them. I don't need unfriendly vibes in my life, so bye bye! Mainly because in these pictures, we were so happy, and looked like we would have been the old ladies causing rukkas in the nursing home. Now that I now it was all fake, why hold onto fake memories? I found a lot of good memories too. Overall, I'm ready to start fresh. Hang onto what gave me compassion and a lead, and to let go of all the bullshit that was holding me back!
Off to work in the AM kiddies!

Let's make a mess and start some rukkas
I'm starting to realize how often people talk out of their asses. Musicians, writers, construction workers, everyone really. For example, someone said to me when refering to a previous relationship, that when he said he loved her, she now thinks it was a lie. I raise the question of how you can lie about that, or not see through it when it is said? Then I realised, he was a writer. It's his job to spin words in a way that makes people around him feel emotions beyond their thinking. So it all worked out. He knew his strengths, and used them to his advantage. This all makes sense these days...puts 'Know your enemy' into perspective anyway! I want to be a good writer, not a good lier. I'm not going to use such a gift to hurt someone, and it pains me to see that someone did.
MY definition of writing- creating emotions, painting pictures useing nothing but words.
What do we have here? Me with a JACK BARAKAT guitar pic, that's what!

fan-girl..no one does it like me!
mmmkay random blog about everything!
First of all! Shoutout to Ashley for leaving me really meaningful and useful comments on my review! Thank you my long-lost shirt twin! I've actually gotten a lot of really useful feedback on it, so thanks everyone!
#2- Taylor Lautner looks amazing in the new moon trailor! I must say, I hope they improve the morph from human to werewolf, or i'll be disappointed! It looked cartoon-y and they should actually make the wolf look like Jacob, right?! haha, i'm sure there will be a video soon of me and my best friend's reactions to the New Moon trailor! PRICELESS! and Edward should have let Jasper kill Bella instead of ruining the beautiful piano!
#3- HARRY POTTER shirts are at Hot Topic! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my new one of Harry and Ron Ron! Ronald Weasley = <3 ! Did you see Rupert Grint's arms when they introduced the clip? HELLO!
#4- Goin to see Blink 182 with Panic at the Disco AND Fall Out Boy! I can't believe i'm so lucky to get to see 3 of the best bands of my generation on one stage!
#5- Goin' to see All Time Low two more times this summer! once on their tour, and once at warped!
I live for evenings like today! I got a text saying that one of my friends was balling her eyes out and needed her girls. I don't know what happened, but it was like a fuse got lit, and i rushed out of the house and got to my friends house in record time. We had already planned on getting together to watch the MTV movie awards, and I was expecting to get there and have to comfort her, and not pay attention to the awards at all. But I got there, and there were no tears, no long rants, and no ass kicking. It was like the aroma of having your best friends around you makes you feel better, and you don't need the venting, or the crying. You slip into fun mode no matter what, and it's all good. So we did what we do best. Popped some popcorn, and watched TV and drooled over Jacob and Ron Ron! I never thought that I was anything special, never thought that just being myself would ever actually make a difference in someones evening. I cracked some jokes, and all the drama was forgotten. I was told by someone that my personality is one of a kind, and it's a good thing to hear that I'm liked for being myself, instead of a mask of myself. It's natural in life to want to adapt to certain situations, and pretend to be ourselves. Like wearing a mask where we get to see parts of you, but not the entire thing. Since I realised that it's okay to take the mask off and let my full personality show all the time, and not just with friends, I've been a lot happier, and more satisfied with my surroundings. We search all too hard for answers that are right infront of us.

weird...
It's funny how a common enemy can unite the greatest of foes. I girl that I've never liked, never had anything in common with, i'm feeling sorry for. Mainly because now, we've had our heart broken by the same guy. I still don't like her personality, but my heart goes out to her.

Believers Never Die, and niether does tradition
May 12th, 2009 Fall Out Boy will have taken the stage in Cleveland Ohio, with opening acts Hey Monday, All Time Low, Metro Station, and Cobra Starship. Although Ohio is mostly known for bad unpredictable weather, Cleveland Ohio is known for it’s music tradition all around. Not far from the venue is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as many other music venues.
Nearing the end of the tour, Hey Monday, the newest edition to the record label, Decaydance, will be the first to perform. The five piece group of good old American kids from Florida come out with high energy and all smiles. Leaving a lasting impression on the crowd and definitely gaining some new fans along the way.
Following behind them will be one of the best exports from Maryland, the Four guys of All Time Low. As the guitar pics start flying, so do the crowd surfers. Behind the band we see a reminder in pink duct tape about their upcoming album ‘Nothing Personal.’ All Time Low was recognized by a number of fans as being their favorite opening act. Unfortunately, we didn’t see as much hooliganism from them, due to time constraints. Nevertheless, they will leave with the crowd being hyper as ever, and hanging on until the next band.
Metro Station will be next. They were recognized in Cleveland based magazine, Alternative Press in 2007 as being one of the Underground bands that would not stay underground for long. It is now 2009 and I can see that this simple band that formed on the set of Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ can go places. However there did seem to be a disconnect to the audience. Once they fill that void, they will have a chance to make their mark on punk pop history.
Cobra Starship was another crowd favorite. Their high stage energy and snazzy light show mixed with their punk-pop with a swig of rap, in this case left with high energy fans. Upon asking fans who their favorite of the opening acts were, Cobra won majority of the fan favorite! “The way they interacted with the crowd was just awesome, and they generally have a great performance…” said fan Lauren. However, I wouldn’t recommend Cobra to Fall Out Boy’s younger fan base, as I never heard the phrase, “Put your mother f***ing fangs up!” said by Cobra front man, Gabe Saporta. Nor have I ever seen the same simultaneous hand gesture go up at once!
We came early for the opening bands, but we came for Fall Out Boy. The venue filled with loud screams and cat-calls the moment that they heard the organ opener in ‘Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes’ from Fall Out Boy’s latest album “Folie a Deux.” We then see our musical idols coming on stage. At first impression we are thinking “Oh no! Patrick isn’t wearing a hat?!” After a moment of realization we see that Patrick, Joe, Pete, and Andy are dressed as caricatures of political figures. A common theme strung throughout their latest album, Folie, and their show, is today‘s political endeavors. Being from a generation, mostly with parents from the 70s, our parents never thought that another one of ‘those bands’ would ever speak out against the problems of today’s government and economy. “If you’re not helping the situation, then you are hurting it.” Is what Pete Wentz said about this on behalf of Fall Out Boy. They then went into a montage of political figures and high society folk who are profiting from the latest economic downfall, and went into their hit single, ‘American’s Sweethearts.’ I was impressed at their fearlessness in speaking out, as are my peers. When asked what she felt about the political statements being made, FOB fan Lauren said, “I did feel that it was important for bands we admire to speak out. They are always known for starting trends. Maybe we will start to follow this one.”
So we’ve had our moments of seriousness. We then switch hand gestures from peace signs to the rock and roll hands. Fall Out Boy pleases fans of all types by playing the oldies from 2003’s “Take this to your Grave” and 2005’s ‘on the map’ album “From Under the Cork Tree.” No doubt that Cleveland’s musical vibes help to amp up the bands performance. Even Fall Out Boy concert veteran Holly, noticed that their energy was high, and out of the 9+ shows she’s been to Cleveland was #3 on her list (you can’t blame her. Spots 1 and 2 go to when she met the boys, and her first show). “…they had a lot of energy, and Pete was back to himself. At my last Fall Out Boy show before this one, he wasn’t himself, and he just seemed lost on stage…” As a personal observation, when Pete came on stage and said “Hello Cleveland!” and the crowd erupted in cheers, a near flawless show was in order. Fall Out Boy members are very in sync with one another, and their on stage chemistry. From Patrick’s piano-istic vocal range, to Andy Hurley’s drumming zen, Fall Out Boy will be this generation’s idol band. As the Beatles to the 60’s, Led Zeppelin to the 70’s, the 80’s hair bands, and the 90’s boy bands, Fall Out Boy is the band of the new millennium. Love them, hate them, or pretend to hate them and use them as your guilty pleasure, you still know them.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know what you think! I plan on sending this for feedback to some really rad people, and I don't wanna make a total fool of myself! also find this on my myspace!
I would like to thank Lauren and Holly for letting me interview them. Lindsey and Becca for putting up with me during this concert. And Ashley for promising to be critical on my critisim!

Sorry, no review yet. I'm working really hard trying to dig up every rad word in my head to put into this review. I'm trying to not be bias just cause i'm an FOB fan. I know that when this becomes official I'll have to pour out good reviews like lemonade, but i'll take advantage of being a beginner!
Not so sure if this whole "love" thing is going to work out. I found something that I truly love with every fiber of my being. I don't know that it's possible for two humans to feel the way about each other, that I do about going to shows. I was totally high on life, and it was the happiest i've ever been. I hate the part afterwards where i have to come back to reality. But all the pain in the world is worth the few hours of total bliss and happiness. I think that that's how a relationship should work. Fights will happen, and doubt will arise, but in the end you know what/who you are meant for, and you live for the moments of happiness you have, and that's all you will ever want or need are those moments. All the pain is forgotten when those moments arise.
So in other words, he's flirting with some other chick, and i haven't talked to him in awhile...stupid boy

It's in the way that you...
fool everyone when you're falling in love again...
So FOB and ATL we're amazing! I got to meet Hey Monday, and they were all sweethearts! Esecially Alex and Jersey! I got dragged into the pit with my girls, and we got our pretty little asses beat...so we got out and stood around all the lame-o's during FOB and I danced and headbanged A LOT! Got lots of glances, and some people even came over to dance with me! I'm cool, who knew? I love my friends who were willing to put up with me during the day! Overall, had the absolute BEST time of my life!!!

Try something, when you look in the mirror, Smile
I am done with school until Fall Semester! So excited for my carefree summer to finally be here!
Got all my shizzle approved at work, so there shouldn't be any problems with anything i wanna do! (Which reminds me, if you know anyone who is intrested in working at Claire's, we are looking for a new part timer at Eastwood!)
I was told the other day that I have a 'captivating smile.' I was pretty bummed out at school because I felt like I did terribly on a final (actual results, still unknown), and I must have looked totally depresed because some guy I've never seen or met in my life said to me, 'I know it's a stressful week, but smile. It's captivating.' I didn't know what else to do but say thanks. Apparantly my smile gave someone a better day, so yeah, it's quite flattering.
That's my Reinvent Love story of the day!
Oh MY Jon! 4 days til FOB and ATL!

It's the way you do the things you do
Hey readers! (all three of you!)
On the off-chance that i have frequent readers other than what blogger shows, I decided to post some things you can look forward to hear from me this summer! Review wise even!
Believers Never Die part deux tour review and some pictures(hopefully)- by the 14th of May
Warped Tour random band reviews and pictures- within a couple days after i get home
Harry Potter movie review- by July 17th
Green Day review and pictures- within a couple days after the concert
A lot of this blog has been me venting about some stupid boys, or stupid people in general. So this summer, I wanna bring quality reviews to the table. I want feedback on these reviews because I plan to mail some to Jason Pettigrew ( Alternative Press). I know that a lot of you want to be nice and make me feel good about what i write, but please, I do want REAL feedback. I'd rather have tough love feedback then 'this is the best review ever!'
I will also be posting all of these reviews on my myspace, and facebook. It's time to get 'Rissa's Reviews' a rollin'! Tell your friends, tell your neighbors!

i gotta feelin', it's a feelin' that you'll never understand
Haven't had time to write in awhile. Been actually doing homework, pullin' all-nighters, and *gasp* studying. Working too...it sucks. I want nothing more than for my perfect summer to be here. Fall Out Boy in 10 days! Harry Potter in 73..or something. Sorry I lost track...i know *gasp* but since they moved the date, all the countdowns are outta wack! Warped Tour in July, New York hopefully in July. Green Day, and the beach and a pool and an amusment park or two! Baltimore too!
I bought a new camera today, it's the bomb-diggity!
Been listening to Rocket to the Moon. AmAzInG! or maybe I'm just a sucker for a red-head...either way it's all good!
It's crazy how the mood your in can effect the type of music you listen to. When I was yelling at my dad, and telling off my mom I was listening to old school Panic! crazy how panic has an old school sound...i want another album!
So does the fact that i am wandering on facebook hoping he will come on and talk to me mean that he's worth my time, or that i am an idiot? Someone please answer this for me...cause i don't know and I want to! Does the fact that I am grasping my phone like a stupid teenage girl, mean that i like him, or that I have no life? answer that too, k?
It's in the way that you fool everyone what your falling in love, again -a rocket to the moon

R.I.P. Autumn 1991-2009
My beautiful kitty, Autumn was killed by getting run over by a car yesturday evening. And the dates at the top is not a typo, she was 18 years old. When I told some of my younger friends that I have a cat older then them, I wasn't lying. I hate the bastard who ran her over. She's been around vehicles her entire life, and i know for a fact that she didn't just 'run under the tire.' It pains me to think about what was going through her mind. She was everything awesome. Diva, Queen, and Beautiful descibed her personality perfectly.
I don't if anyone thinks that I am over-reacting. She wasn't 'just a cat' she's been part of my life for 18 of my 20 years here. She was my best friend, my phsycologist, and my baby. She always listened to me, and in weird ways she always gave me advice.
Do me a favor, and either hug a kitty, or kick a tire in memory of my baby kitty. I love her so much, and the only comfort that I have is that she's with my other beautiful kitty, Lucky, who died last summer.
I love you girl

Stuff you should probably know
What I learned this evening...
NEVER be a designated driver for your mom and your aunt...seriously I thought I was being a good daughter because I was letting them have a good time, i just ended up getting pissed off. My mom and I had a mini-dance off, and then my mom decided that she wanted to set me up with every male there who thought I was cute. The first guy was 47, the second guy smokes pot...
Due to reason above, my mom is a bad wing-man...
my aunt is a bitch
Thing that people should NEVER assume
just because you are in a baby bar, designated driving is not code for 'i'm underage so buy be alcohol' it means i'm driving the drunk people...
Do not assume that just because someone is on the dance floor having fun and dancing like no one is watching, doesn't mean that they are drunk
For the love of jon, the innocent thing isn't an act, i really am as innocent as I look!
NEVER DDing for my mom and aunt again...actually i am never hanging out with them again...i've never been truly embarassed before this night.

I ain't no Bella..but
I know what I want.
I hate feeling stressed out.
I hate crying. Even though it's probably been at least four days.
I hate knowing what I want, and at the same time, knowing I can't have it.
However...
I love music.
I love the idea of running away.
I like knowing what others think.
Some call it butting in, I call it curiosity.
I hate ignorance, at the same time, I hate structuredness.
I hate not being able to spell.
I hate people who question my intelligence.
I love my friends, the good ones that are left.

whatchathink?
I do believe that this picture is absolutly amazing.

Brown Eyes + Shaggy hair= whoah!
I got my bangs cut a little differently today. Kinda cute, but once these grow out I think i'm going back to Fall/Winter bangs. We'll see.
Apparently, I look like I'm 16. I've had a few old people tell me this in the past two weeks.
New Harry Potter Trailer...watch it now!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36Kl4eIUZIU
This is going to be sooo BADASS! In this trailer, we see some quidditch, Draco being vulnerable, and Harry being a badass. We get a better look at Ron's girlfriend *shudders*. I feel bad for that actress, because i'm probably going to forever hate her due to insane jealousy now.
It's totally unfair that this is going to be the only movie that we see Ron playing quidditch in. I wonder if they'll throw in the 'Weasley is our King' song? Even though it's in Order of the Pheonix, I still think they should throw it in...ya know, just because!

No givsies backsies...and we meant it
We've got a bit mess on our hands
No way to clean it up
There's a big streak on my glasses, left by you
How could I know
You had my grave dug from the moment I met you
Keep on smiling, and then laughing without me around ( if you know what I mean)
As I fade like the pictures of us in the back of your memories
Remember, Remember, when you look at him, he's thinking of me
Smile Smile, there's nothing wrong with that
Laugh Laugh, when you think of the fool you made of me
Lost plane tickets, and maps are laying somewhere in your parents house
From number 2 to 6 to 14 to you're no longer on my top friends anymore
In your eyes Myspace demotion hurts more than if I said it to your face
I am going to shake your friendship away
I won't take any money, or claim any leftover remains
Keep the CDs and the DVDs some place safe
For goodness sakes
When you hear that song,
When you watch that movie,
When you wear that shirt
When you look in his eyes,
you'll only think of me
Is it Karma or coincidence
that your vacation was ruined?
And I wrote that down before you even left.
So keep your memories, they are no good to me
I refuse to loose touch with him, or other friends I've made
You can take the money, and little bit of my pride
My revenge is in the form of sweet, sweet surprise.
Look at me now, still with my smile, and my slightly cracked heart
And you with your extra bling and something else
Me with the man of my dreams
And you with your kids and nothing else.
Lyrics I wrote with bands such as All Time Low, and The Academy is in mind. Why? Because I was listening to them when I wrote it!
Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Critisism? All is welcome!

Practically Unsinkable
Rose: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was moved up two days to July 15th! so 91 days!
Thorn: ummm......no thorns involving Harry Potter!
Rose: I have five pages of one of my papers written.
Thorn: It's suppose to be 15 pages long.
Rose: Registration for Fall starts tomorrow.
Thorn: registration for fall starts tomorrow.
Rose: Fall Out Boy in 28 days.
Thorn: my mom is a moron.
Apparently I over-analyze things, and that's why people don't like to hang out with me...words from my mother.
Today going into tomorrow makes it the 97th anniversary of when the Titanic sank.
Just so you know!

I wanna scream 'I love you' from the top of my lungs
29 days until Fall Out Boy and All Time Low!
94 days until Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!
yay my life
I have two papers to do in the next week, one of which was due last week.
My mom flaked out of putting in some money so that Lindsey and i could stay in a descent hotel... i don't care, but broken promises suck more than staying in a sucky hotel.
I have to due my registration and meet with an advisor sometime next week...i hate this.
I was introduced to a nice guy, by my best friend....and he lives three hours away.
I miss my baby kitty.
Fuck my life.
On the plus side, i went bowling with Becca and her husband Mike the other day! We had a blast! I came away with a bruise on my butt...i have no hand-butt cordination. Upon inticipating Mike jumping on me, i turned around, and hit myself in the butt with a 12 pount bowling ball! But it was worth it to hang out with my bestie and her hubby!
I want my carefree summer to be here now!

AP
I just read an interview with Jason Pettigrew, the editor of Alternative Press magazine. He said a lot of things that I agree with, and a lot of things that confused me. He talked about how some journalist are misinformed or not informed at all. They think that band members will be their friends if they write puff pieces. I agree with this, but only with certain bands...does that make sence? Like I couldn't write something bad about Panic at the Disco if I tried. I know that one of the rules in music critisism is to always find room for improvement. But I can't say anything bad about them. A perfect band for me to write about would probably be Forever the Sickest Kids. I like them, but I could see myself being able to pick out pieces of improvment for them as well.
I also loved how he called out bands like Nickleback. "Feel bad for people who like Matchbox 20 and nickleback, because you know part of them has died." I Love that! I donno why but there has always been something about Nickleback that has annoyed me. It seems as though they label themselves as being a Rock Band, but Pop-Rock is more an appropriate term. I have nothing against Pop-Rock, Jesus knows it probably makes up about 75% of my playlist. But mislabeling and fakeness does irk me.
He also talked about living off of being a journalist. He said you can definitely live off of it, but you also have to be aware that unless your a kiss-ass you'll mostly won't be riding first class. Those were not his exact words, but something like that. He also talked about how to be successful, you have to have passion, and love what you are doing. and even if you don't make a dime, at least you had fun. "Whats the difference between RS contributer Niel Strauss and a fanzine writer, one gets a check and the other is in love."
So basically I've learned that I can be succcessful doing what I want to, but i'll be dirt poor. Well it's not like i've ever been rich, so I don't care about that. It's just made me wonder if this is what I am meant to do. For a moment, I had a doubt. But now, I really don't. I can do this!

NOTE of CAUTION
Hey all, something just happened that I always thought would never happen to me. I had a large sum of money stolen from me. My debit card seldomly leaves my wallet, and when it's not there, it's in my pocket. I be sure to shred all my bank reciepts, and pay stubs. I rarely buy things online. Never have I bought from a non secure website. I am as cautious as a college student can be, but this still happened. Not to mention, it didn't even happen in this country. Hopefully everything will pan out and I'll get my money back. But I just wanted to throw out a cautionary note. I never thought I would get hacked, and now here i am praying i'll have my money back before summer. Slightly hypocritical, but think before you post info online. Don't sign up for random sites just so that you can find out what Twilight character you are most like. Use those nogins kiddos.
On a VERY EXTREMELY HAPPY NOTE, Brendon preformed with Fall Out Boy, and it made me bust out the fan-girl shriek. I almost have it perfected! ^_^
cute boys + facebook does not equal love. cute boys + a pen and paper might.

crazy but not in love
When you didn't call me, it sucked, but didn't hurt. I wasn't mad, just irritated.
When you ignored me waving at you, I blew it off as you were busy.
When you wouldn't hug me one day randomly, I thought you were just sick.
When you burried your head in my hair the next day, it made me smile. I loved that I could smell your colonge all day.
When you ignored me two weeks later, I couldn't come up with an excuse for you.
The face that you are with someone now doesn't hurt. It kills.
The sacrifices I was willing to make, the person I was willing to become.
I can't not love you. I can't not hate you.
Now you have everything you've ever wanted. She's older, and more loose than me. She has no morals, and will drop everything for you.
Go on, Live without me. I DARE you to.
Good luck with this one. You fucking good for absolutly nothing, over obsessed with yourself asshole. One day, this poor girl will obtain a brain, and leave you. Then you'll have no one to sleep next to but your hand.
Congrats, you have successfully broken, bandaged, and re-broken, ripped, teared, and splinched my heart.
Again, I double dog DARE you to live without me. and if you succeed, your reward shall be, an entire unhappy life without me.
I would like to raise a toast, to a new perspective on life. A cute face, and a smooth talker, does not equal love. What I was missing, was my brain. I guess that really is what I get for letting my heart win that one.
To all my fellow females, men are worthless and stupid, don't forget it. The only man that is worth your time, is the one that God will send to make you feel special.
No need to comment saying 'he wasn't good enough for you' I already know this. This was just venting.

Are you sitting down? HSM3 review!
okay okay okay, calm down! I know this is extremely out of character for what I will normaly review. However, I just say High School Musical 3 with my best friend, and it was good! So read my review with an open mind.
Leave your pre-concieved notions of Disney at the door. Stop worrying about who will hear about you watching it. Shut up and admit that you thought that Zac Effron was a cutie. High School Musical 3: Senior Year, is more of a family film than a film for fangirls in training. Dance numbers are more complex and mature than the previous 'High School Musical' and 'High School Musical 2.' Song selections are more easily related to than the un-realistic idea of 'We're all in this together.' This might be true in high school, but where I went, the jocks made fun of my pigtails. Songs in HSM3 include numbers such as 'I want it all' which I could see being on broadway. This song was everything that a huge musical number should be. Lights, screaming, energy, and lots of make-up! 'Scream' is a song sung by Efron where his character, Troy Bolton, is caught up in the typical senior slump of 'what am i going to do after high school?' This song had loads of energy, sweat, and showed off Efron's range of dancing abilities. When your younger sister, cousin, or child sits you down for what you expect to be 90 miniutes of teenies and torcher, fear not! HSM3 deserved to be on the big screen, because they definitely stepped it up, and took advantage of their artistic liberties. All and All, don't be afriad to dance and sing these songs in public. Even though they won't admit it, they want to sing along with you!
that's right, i said it!

125,600 minutes ago..
more or less I heard the amazing music that is Pretty.Odd. I can't believe it's been a year! CRAZY! How time flys when you're trying to build a life on music and writing. In honor of this Amazing band, here is my mini review of the CD. Even though it was a year ago, a lot of people haven't heard this amazing piece of art.
Panic at the Disco traded their exclamation point for ultra amazing songwriting powers. 2008's Pretty.Odd. is as if the guyliner and the tight pants took a trip Across the Universe, and came back with flowers and cowboy boots. Fear not, the amazing lyrics are still present, as was in their 2005's 'A fever You Can't Sweat Out.' Pretty.Odd. has musical diversity from folk, to late 60s early 70s rock. Haters and uneducated critics may say that they are stealing from the Beatles time capsule, however they've overlooked the new generation spin. Panic at the Disco is the band that I am voting to be the band that will be talked about thirty years from now. Most likely we will become like our parents with them, and make our kids listen to them until they can't take it anymore.
To be short, they are amazing, and they made my life worth while.

Random Chatter
All Time Low finished recording their record!
I guess that Panic at the Disco are writing for their new record, and are demoing a few things!
I look bad with blond hair....have a look.

Edward Anthony Mason Cullen and Rosalie Lillian Hale
UGg, was that party lame. I was all dressed up just to stand in the hallway for two hours, and go inside hot topic just to get my picture taken with a cardboard cutout. To top it all off, I didn't even win the signed picture of Taylor Lautner...it's a good thing that they didn't draw the name that day, because I would have beat up anyone who wouldn't hand it over. Maybe someone tipped them off.
I totally bullshited a paper and got a B. I worked my ass off on a test, and got a D. Someone explain that to me?
If I've learned anything, it's that you never know when you'll need a grappeling hook. Sure...
Haha, a friend of mine is planning a trip, and she's inviting me, and the friend that I am no longer friends with..and she doesn't know. Haha, that's going to be awesome!
7 more weeks until FALL OUT BOY! and ALL TIME LOW! la la la la la LOVE!
